Within the framework of the national efforts to enhance the scientific presence of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the international scene, the Bahrain Space Agency represented by the engineer Souad Khalifa participated in the third international conference on automated intelligence of geometrics and remote sensing (Migars 2025). This conference was organized by the Politkinika Bucharest Institute in the Romanian capital Bucharest, in cooperation with the Scientific Society for Earth Sciences and Remote Sensing (GRSS) of the Institute of Electricity and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

This participation included the presentation of two scientific paper in the field of air quality and climate change. This international conference brought together a group of scientists and researchers from different countries of the world, with the aim of reviewing the latest developments and studies related to artificial intelligence applications in the field of land monitoring, remote sensing and exchanging experiences.

The first paper, which was participated in the preparation of the engineer, Aisha Al-Jowder, dealt with the topic of “spatial, temporal and environmental analysis of the nitrogen dioxide columns and carbon monoxide using satellite data” Sentinel-5p, where the study discussed the levels of these gases in the atmosphere of the Kingdom of Bahrain and their environmental effects on spatial and temporal dimensions, by relying on images and space data that have been analyzed To extract the patterns of distributing these gases and identify their potential sources, in it of support for national efforts that aim to formulate sustainable solutions to reduce air pollution and improve the climatic environment.

As for the second paper, titled: “The time analysis of the contrast of temperatures before and after the National Initiative for afforestation using satellite images.” It focused on studying the impact of the national initiative to increase the green area in the Kingdom of Bahrain, “Damat green” and its impact on reducing the surface temperatures, and alleviating the phenomenon of urban thermal islands, and improving local climatic conditions because of its support for environmental sustainability and contributing to reducing the reduction The effects of climate change on urban societies.

On this research and scientific effort, engineer Souad Khalifa stated: “This conference is a global platform for the exchange of scientific experiences in the areas of artificial intelligence and remote sensing and an opportunity to see its latest technical developments and applications related to the environmental sector. My participation in this conference is by providing two scientific papers a qualitative addition in my career and scientific career where I had the opportunity to engage and interact with experts and researchers in various The fields, which contributed to the expansion of scientific horizons and the opening of new doors for thinking and research.

It managed to present the results of studies and highlight the prominent efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting environmental initiatives and efforts to address the challenges of climate change and enhance the role of the Bahrain Space Agency to improve the outcomes of scientific research in the space sector and employ Earth monitoring techniques to serve the vital sectors in the Kingdom.

The efforts made by the Bahrain Space Agency are poured through its continuous participation in various scientific conferences and forums in supporting research and analytical studies and enhancement from the exchange of knowledge on the regional and international scope in relation to central environmental issues and contributes to the service of society and achieving the sustainable development goals.
