Our national Judo team, Askirby Girbykov, managed to take the podium and score the third place and the bronze medal in the weight of under 81 kilograms, during his participation in the China International Championship “Grand BRICS” judo, which was held with the wide participation of the most prominent world champions and the first ranked international classification ladder in the game.
Girbykov has made strong offers since the beginning of his career in the championship, as he fought several difficult women against players with great experience, but his resolve and insistence enabled him to excel and provide a high performance that was praised by the followers. He was able to translate his intensive training and serious preparations into an important victory over the rug of competitions, to put his name among the most prominent brilliants in this version of the tournament.
This achievement comes to reflect the size of the development in the Judo game in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and confirms that the players of the National Judo team are walking steadily towards competition strongly in major international championships. The “Grand Bryx” championship is one of the important stations in the way to reaping the approved points for the global classification, which gives this third place special importance in terms of strengthening the Bahrain site in the global judo map.
