Statistics of the Ministry of Communications and Communications for the month of August 2025 revealed a significant increase in the movement of passengers, aircraft and air freight through Bahrain International Airport, where the total number of passengers during the month reached 951,795 passengers, of whom 509,235 are coming and 441,938 departures, in addition to 622 passing passengers.
Statistics showed that the movement of aircraft reached 9,029 flights distributed between 4,520 departures and 4,509 arrival, while the aircraft crossed the Kingdom’s atmosphere 47,608 aircraft.
As for the movement of freight and air mail, it reached 33,782 tons, of which 13,004 tons are imports, 8,291 tons, and 12,487 tons of transient shipment.
With regard to the most developed destinations in the number of passengers, Iraq (Najaf) came first with an increase of 64% compared to August 2024, as the number of passengers reached 43,658 passengers. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Sharjah), an increase of 45% with a number of passengers, which reached 97,627, then Qatar (Doha), a growth rate of 23%, with 58,136 passengers.
