Today, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held an expanded meeting with the heads of the new city services, at the government headquarters in the new administrative capital, in the presence of Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly welcomed the minister and the attendees, stressing that the holding of this meeting came as a result of what he deems during his daily move and his repeated tours of the governorates, which witnesses through many new cities; Among the phenomena that emphasizes the need to increase the efforts made to the return of the general civilizational appearance of various new cities, especially with regard to cleaning files, maintenance, lifting waste and site coordination work.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly stressed that the responsibility in the return of the general civilizational appearance of new cities falls on the heads of the agencies of those cities, calling them to intensify their field tours on a regular daily, as the role of city heads is not a office presence or relying on the reports brought to them.
The Prime Minister stressed that it is necessary for the heads of city bodies to give a higher priority to preserving the general shape of the new cities, their civilizational appearance and the quality of life in them, in addition to following up the implementation of contracts concluded with cleaning and maintenance companies, especially in light of the presence of sufficient resources in the budgets of those cities to implement the various required works, in addition to strengthening positive partnerships with real estate developers in those cities to contribute to supporting societal work.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly pointed out that the performance of those required roles from the heads of new city devices requires each of them to develop a clear vision of the needs of development in each city, according to specific priorities, and implementing development tasks and raising efficiency in areas and then moving to another, until all the required aspects are fulfilled, and most importantly maintaining what is achieved in the developed areas.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the new cities have supportive advantages for continuous development, which may not be achieved for many governorates, among them their origins in a modern, planned civilized manner, the lack of population densities in them compared to other neighborhoods in the governorates, as well as the availability of adequate budgets, mechanisms to build partnerships with developers in those cities, and many advantages that constitute stimulating pillars of development.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly added that the Urban Communities Authority has become an important developer, as it enjoys large business size and distinguished resources, pointing out that this was achieved thanks to the efforts of the heads of new cities agencies, and the authority must continue to lead and the forefront among the Egyptian state bodies.
The Prime Minister called on the heads of the new cities to work to provide new and additional resources for the development work in these cities through unconventional ideas, including the inventory of unarmed lands and use of them optimally to generate resources for cities that support their development efforts, considering that this must be the pattern of each head of the city agency.
The Prime Minister was charged with the Minister of Housing; It is necessary to oversee that every head of the new city agency puts a clear plan of action, to restore the luster and shape of the new city, stressing that the opportunity is open to them to achieve the difference that the new cities deserve, stressing that any new city president does not consider the effort made on his part with the required target that will be replaced to give others an opportunity to continue development and urban development efforts.
In turn, Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, thanked the Prime Minister, for the invitation to hold this important meeting, which stems from his keenness to be the New Urban Communities Authority in the ranks of prominent bodies in the state, indicating that he is supervised by being one of the heads of new city agencies, before assigning him as Minister of Housing, which reflects the state’s keenness to support opportunities to empower youth, especially the heads of cities New.
The minister added that the list of the heads of the current city bodies is one of the strengths that were occupying the positions of assistants and deputies with those devices, who were escalated, saying: “We, as the children of the New Urban Communities Authority, are keen to always remain at the forefront of the successful bodies in the state.”
Engineer Sherif El -Sherbiny confirmed that he gathered continuous meetings with the heads of new cities devices, and there are permanent coordination with them, as it was agreed to have major ingredients representing the title of any new city, including: hygiene, maintenance work, agriculture, lighting, attention to the general visual image, upgrading in the form of axes, squares and entrances to the city, in coordination with the developers, dealing with the road file, vital facilities, and all elements The other.
The minister added that a set of plans and follow -up mechanisms have been developed, and the heads of the new city devices were emphasized that the presence of the head of the device on the ground always moves the entire device, through a daily field follow -up, to pass on various sites, from road works, hygiene, and expansions, which represents continuous pressure on all the existing elements regardless of its executive sites, pointing to the need for the head of the agency to be continuous with all employees and not only Representatives and directors of departments, and dealing professionally with each problem, with a clear and specific assignment to each official, stressing that follow -up is the basis for the success of the head of the city’s apparatus.
Engineer Sherif El -Sherbiny expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s speech, which stems from his keenness to upgrade services in new cities and maintain what is achieved, stressing that what is being implemented in the new cities is developed in light of the ingredients that have been identified will be the basis for evaluation of the heads of devices, and that he will work with them as one work team.
The minister stressed: This meeting is a guide to confidence in the role of heads of new city bodies, and we renew the covenant to achieve the desired difference, and change the image for the better.
For their part, the heads of the cities agencies expressed their thanks to the Prime Minister and their appreciation for holding this meeting, stressing that the aspects that the Prime Minister highlighted during the meeting will be important items on the agenda of their work during the next period.
