The Sharjah Roads and Communications Authority implemented the Sharjah Camel Racing Club project, with the completion of 14 kilometers of allocated roads, as part of a comprehensive plan to update infrastructure in various vital facilities, in line with the emirate’s vision in enhancing its position on the map of sports and heritage events. This project comes in response to the increasing needs of camel sport facilities, which are witnessing a wide turnout, because of its ancient heritage and cultural value. Engineer Youssef Al -Othmani, Chairman of the Authority, confirmed that the project reflects the authority’s commitment to implementing specific strategic and service projects that contribute to strengthening the infrastructure system and supporting sports activities of a heritage nature, especially camel races
