Mahmoud Al -Khatib, Chairman of Al -Ahly’s Board of Directors, announced earlier that he did not run in the upcoming election race due to his health conditions, but the members of the Board of Directors and the Al -Hakamah Committee of the club rejected the decision.
The journalist Ahmed Schubert revealed the position of Al -Khatib on running the elections, saying: Al -Khatib has not made a decision until this moment, and the decision will only be based on taking into account his health condition first, and reviewing his family before making his final decision to get the elections or not.
Schubert concluded his statements: the predominant feeling in Al -Ahly and the desire of most members of the General Assembly is to nominate Al -Khatib again, but so far there is no certainty or confirmed information.
Al -Ahly club officially announced that it opened the door for candidacy for members of the General Assembly to run in the club’s elections for a new session, since nine in the morning and will continue until Friday, October 3.
