With the beginning of the school year, many families live moments of anxiety and psychological pressure, as studying hours turn into a daily challenge between parents and children. Often, differences arise due to the parents ’attempt to impose commitment, while the child feels bored or aversion to study. But the truth is that studying is not necessarily a source of tension, but it can be an enjoyable and constructive experience if it is managed correctly.

Hence, the need for some practical steps that helps the family to organize the time of studying, and converting it from a heavy burden to an opportunity for joint learning and developing skills.

Sometimes the house turns into hell during the mother’s attempts to control the situation and force children to remember and study. Hence, there are a few steps and methods that can help the family exceed this difficult stage and make the study more smooth and enjoyable.

Among these steps is to create an appropriate environment, and allocate a quiet and free place from the distant; As well as arranging the office and tools to make the child feel ready.

It is necessary to place a flexible schedule so that the study time is divided into short periods (25-30 minutes) with rest breaks. And the introduction of loved activities between study periods.

How beautiful it is to use fun methods and convert some lessons into games or competitions. Use colors, graphics, or educational cards. Use of motivation and encouragement such as: praise of the voltage before the results. And providing simple rewards (such as a time to play or activity that the child loves). Also, involve the child in planning and asking him about the way he is comfortable in studying. And give it a space to choose between or arrange the materials.

Watch out, father and mother, from punishment and excessive pressure, but rather replace direct orders with dialogue and persuasion. As well as focusing on building a positive relationship with the study instead of linking it to punishment.

To convert these ideas into realistic steps, the family can apply the following plan on a daily basis:

1. Preparing «15 minutes before studying»:- Prepare the location of the study, arrange tools, eat a snack or a cup of water.

2. The first session «25-30 minutes»:- a material that needs a larger concentration “mathematics/science”.- Divide the lesson into small points with the use of colors or mental maps.- Then a short break (5-10 minutes).

3.

4. The third session «20-25 minutes»:- Review what was studied yesterday.- Solve a short training or test.

5. The completion «10 minutes»:- Writing a small summary for the day.- Preparing tomorrow’s schedule with the participation of the child.- Providing a simple reward for the effort made.

* Important notes for the mother:- The daily study of the primary should not exceed 90 minutes “intermittent”.- For the middle stage 2-3 hours distributed during the day.

It is always better for the sessions to be short and intermittent instead of a long, stressful session. The child must notify that the study is a shared responsibility that helps reduce stress and rejection.
