The southern municipal council approved the proposal submitted by the member of the Municipal Council, the representative of the fourth district, Mohamed Darraj, regarding the establishment of a walkway and path for bicycle in the complex 939 on Road No. 3901 near the National Charter Street in Al -Hijiyat area.
Daraj explained that the idea of the proposal came as an investment for the appropriate space available on the National Charter Street, which was recently paved within the development projects in the region, indicating that the Al -Hujayat area lacks such facilities, despite the high population density that it is witnessing, which exceeds 30 thousand people as a result of the increasing housing projects.
He added that the goal of creating the walkway is to encourage the people to exercise of all kinds, whether walking, running or cycling, in order to preserve public health, in addition to providing a safe environment for exercising away from the risks of traffic accidents.
He stressed that the department urgently needs to create a walkway that is an outlet for families and families and their children, stressing that the project will enhance the quality of life in the region, and keep pace with the requirements of urban development and the population increase in the pilgrims.
