The South Sinai Governorate hosted the activities of enabling the entrepreneurship in technical education, the fifth edition of the “She Leads” program for the first time in Sharm El -Sheikh, in the presence of Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, Chancellor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women, MP Ahmed Fathi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Leadership Youth Foundation, and a number of executive leaders, representatives of the private sector and civil society.
The events began to inspect the exhibition of the Bedouin Bedouin artifacts organized by the governorate, where the governor and his guests praised the exhibits that highlighted the originality of the Sinai heritage and the skill of women in handicrafts.
This was followed by an official opening of the program with the participation of students of the WE School for Applied Technology and the families of the students, where the governor stressed that hosting South Sinai for this event reflects the state’s commitment to opening new horizons for girls of technical education, not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with practical training, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
In his speech during the event, Major General Khaled Mubarak stressed that “the development strategy in South Sinai is its primary goal, and you are its pillars and real energy.”
He added that the governorate presented its strategy for sustainable development in front of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, a strategy based on making South Sinai a global model in green tourism, environmental protection and renewable energy, as well as developing infrastructure and services in line with Egypt’s 2030 vision.
He stressed that the involvement of young men and women at all stages of development is a basic guarantee for the success of this strategy, noting that our success depends on our ability to enable this generation of young leaders and girls who are able to innovate and compete.
The governor also praised the innovative ideas presented by the students of the school to serve the community, and the positive participation of families and teachers in supporting female students, considering this “a message of hope and the beginning of a bright future” confirms that the Sinai girls are able to excel and active in development.
For her part, Chancellor Amal Ammar confirmed that the National Council for Women puts his priorities to support girls in the border governorates, and expressed her pride in the participating girls, saying: “You are the sun of the province”, as basic partners in the development process.
She pointed out that the creativity of female students in their projects proves that girls are able to transform challenges into success stories, confirming the council’s continued support to empowering them academically and economically.
For his part, MP Ahmed Fathi explained that, since its inception, the Youth Foundation has been keen to build strong partnerships with ministries, the private sector and civil society to launch qualitative initiatives, foremost of which is the “He leads” program, which has become a national platform for qualifying technical education students and turning their ideas into real projects. He stressed that the value of the program lies in its ability to link female students to the labor market on the one hand, and change the stereotypes towards technical education on the other hand, in order to enhance the role of youth and girls in economic development.
At the end of his speech, the governor thanked all the partners, stressing that the governorate will remain a major supporter of national initiatives that invest in the energies of our daughters and youth and qualify them to be a locomotive of development in Sinai and Egypt.
At the end of the celebration, the Chancellor, Ammar, presented the shield of Al -Taba, which was tied to Major General Khaled Mubarak and MP Ahmed Fathi, in appreciation of the efforts made in enabling girls and supporting the rehabilitation of their skills.
