Ambassador Mamdouh Jabr, the former Palestinian Foreign Minister, confirmed that the current days represent milestones in the path of the Palestinian issue, especially with the recognition of major powers such as Britain, France, Canada and Australia in the State of Palestine, considering that this stage will be the beginning of a serious process towards activating the two -state solution.
Jabr: Israel has become a rogue and isolated state
Jabr said, in a television intervention, that Arab diplomatic efforts, led by the Saudi and French role, in addition to the Egyptian move led by the Foreign Minister, contributed to strengthening the international momentum towards recognition of a Palestinian state, noting that this moment will be taught to future generations as a new chapter in the march of the Palestinian struggle.
He added: “Israel has become an internationally and isolated country, while international public opinion, especially through social networks, reveals the true face of its violations against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.”
In response to criticism on the feasibility of international confessions compared to the announcement of Algeria in 1988, Gabr said that the current confessions reflect the accumulation of political and diplomatic struggle for decades, starting with the speech of the late leader Yasser Arafat at the United Nations in 1974, to reach Palestine to the status of an observer in 2012, stressing that more than 150 countries now officially recognize the State of Palestine.
Jabr concluded that what is happening today represents a day of joy for Palestine and the Arabs, saying: “We will rejoice in raising the flag of Palestine over the Holy Jerusalem, to be a symbol of freedom, development and peace.”
