Professor Hassan Youssef Al -Mutawa, the teacher of the classroom system at the Busitin Elementary School for Boys, launched a distinctive educational initiative entitled “The Little Researcher”, through which he seeks to develop research and investigation skills, and enable his students in the second grade of primary school to provide knowledge in a creative and interactive manner, in addition to enhancing the spirit of curiosity and discovery for them.
Al -Muallem explained that this initiative is based on assigning students to enrichment research tasks related to the lessons they receive, as they are directed to various sources of information, whether from books or digital platforms, then each student collects the information he has reached and formulates them in his own style, and appoints them in a common booklet designed to be a collective record that documents the efforts of all class students.
He added: “The next day, every student displays what he reached in front of his classmates, discussing information with them, which contributes to enhancing their self -confidence, developing communication skills and critical thinking by asking questions, and commenting on what is being presented.”
He pointed out that the shared brochure used within this project was a great interaction by students, as each of them sought to decorate their pages in a creative way that reflects his personality, which increased their enthusiasm and their desire to participate, indicating that the positive impact was not limited to enriching the cognitive aspect, but also contributed to enhancing technological skills, and developing the ability to use digital media in research and presentation.
This comes within the fruitful bids of national cadres in government schools, to develop educational outcomes, under the supervision and support of specialists at the Ministry of Education.
