New York – Wam was chaired by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the delegation of the UAE in the “high -level international conference of the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the application of the two -state solution”, which was held in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in its eighties. This conference emphasizes the importance of supporting the international community to establish an independent, sovereign Palestinian state, within internationally recognized borders that coexist with Israel in peace, stability and security. The two -state solution is the only way for peace and the UAE believes constantly that peace cannot be achieved in the region until a sovereign independent Palestinian state lives alongside Israel.
