The evidence of the qualitative progress achieved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields continues to establish its position as a leading country at the regional and international levels, thanks to the root reforms it adopted within the framework of “Saudi Vision 2030”, and the wide investments whose results were reflected in prestigious international indicators.
Where the achievements confirm that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is steadily continuing towards achieving its development ambitions to be a global model in comprehensive development, digital transformation and innovation. These successes embody the fruit of the strategic vision and national will that made Saudi Arabia a leading country in various global indicators.
In the field of digital government and digital transformation, the Kingdom jumped (25) rank in the United Nations E -government Index for the year 2024, to be among the group of leading countries in the world, and achieved fourth place globally, the first regionally, and the second among the G20 countries in the digital services index. It also ranked seventh globally in the electronic participation index, while Riyadh recorded a qualitative achievement by obtaining third place in the world out of (193) cities around the world.
The United Nations report praised the great development made by the Kingdom in the field of digital government, as it ranked sixth globally, due to qualitative investments since the launch of the 2030 Vision. The Kingdom has also made qualitative leaps in sub -indicators; (53) ranked in the Telecom Infrastructure Index (TII), and (31) ranked in the human capital index (HCI).
On the other hand, the rate of maturity of government digital organizations reached 100%, while the proportion of the availability and participation of government data open to citizens and business sectors was also 100%. The Kingdom also applied (60) ranks in participation and electronic consultations directed to individuals and business sectors, which reflects the digital maturity and government transparency.
The e -government development index is one of the most ancient international indicators, as it has been issued for more than (20) years every two years, and measures the impact of structural reforms on increasing productivity, raising efficiency and improving the experience of beneficiaries.
Statistics
In terms of statistical performance, the Kingdom advanced (25) ranked in the statistical performance index issued by the World Bank, and ranked first in the Gulf. This achievement reflects the strength and development of Saudi statistical bodies in line with international standards, which made it a role model globally.
Cyber security
Saudi Arabia ranked first in the world in the Cyber Security Index, according to the report of the annual book on global competitiveness for the year 2025, confirming its position as the most efficient country in protecting the national digital structure and enhancing the confidence of individuals and business sectors in electronic transactions.
International tourism
The Kingdom topped the countries of the world in the growth of international tourism revenues and the growth of the numbers of international tourists during the first quarter of 2025, which reflects the success of its ambitious plans to diversify the sources of income and the development of the tourism sector as one of the pillars of the non -oil economy.
Innovation and entrepreneurship
Saudi Arabia won a global achievement by occupying the first rank in the world in the growth of the innovation and entrepreneurship system, and its choice of “State of the year 2025”, according to the Startupblink report. This achievement embodies the Kingdom’s advanced position on the map of innovation and the global digital economy.
At the city level, Riyadh topped the highest global growth rate among the 100 best cities in the innovation and entrepreneurship system, as the first came in the world in nanotechnology and transportation technologies, and the second in the world in financing technologies.
Communications and Technology
The Kingdom achieved the first place in the world in the 2025 Technology and Technical Development Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union, which reflects the volume of investment in the digital structure and the quality of the services provided.
Water safety and prevention of drowning
The Kingdom excelled globally in fulfilling the highest water safety standards and drowning prevention, as drowning mortality rates decreased by more than 17%, and achieved the first place globally in water safety and rescue standards.
artificial intelligence
The “Tortoise Intelligence” report revealed that the Kingdom ranked first in the Arab world and the fourteenth globally in the global index -intelligence index, and has maintained the first rank globally in the standard of government strategy for artificial intelligence, and the seventh rank globally in the standard of trade in artificial intelligence. This reflects the Kingdom’s seriousness in turning into a global center for innovation and technology through wide investment in artificial intelligence.
