When a person is lost in the desert, every minute may be separated between life and death, and this need inspired a group of American University students in Sharjah, to develop the graduation project “Shaheen”, a project that supplies the drones with the ability to determine the locations of the missing and alert rescue teams in the actual time. This innovation recently won second place in the “Imagine Future” competition 2024-2025 organized by the company “Del Technologies”, which attracted 259 projects from 14 countries in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa regions.
