The Directorate of Education in Qaliubiya Governorate announced the examination of the incident of selling school uniforms affiliated with the Ahmed Shawky School in Babtim and preventing the entry of non -buying students from them in coordination with the East Shubra Educational Administration, opening an urgent investigation and knowing the truth of what was circulated on social media, while taking the necessary legal measures against violators.
An official source at the Directorate of Education in Qalioubia indicated in exclusive statements to “Cairo 24”, that the Directorate or the East Shubra Administration does not require parents to buy school uniforms from a specific place, stressing that the investigation is underway to find out the details of the incident and hold the official accountable if it is proven valid.
A number of pioneers of the social networking site “Facebook” have circulated publications and comments for parents from the Bahtim region, during which they expressed their dissatisfaction with the Ahmed Shawky School selling school uniforms to students inside the school, and even prohibited the entry of students who did not buy the uniform from them, considering this a kind of compulsion and pressure on families, especially in light of the material burdens with the beginning of the school year.
The parents called on education officials in Qaliubiya to intervene urgently, stressing that the role of the school is limited to determining the shape of the outfit and its specifications, without forcing the parents to buy it from a specific place.
