The new academic year started today, Saturday, in the governorates schools that do not apply Saturday leave, while the study starts in all governorates tomorrow, Sunday.
Before the start of the study in the new academic year in all schools, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced decisions that will be applied for the first time in the new academic year 2025-2026.

The decisions announced by Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, came as follows:
Baccalaureate
Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced that the Egyptian Baccalaureate Certificate system will be applied for the first time in the new academic year 2025/2026 optional for the first secondary students.
Teaching programming and artificial intelligence in schools
Programming and artificial intelligence material for first year high school students and baccalaureate will be taught through the specialized Japanese platform, as part of the Ministry’s plan to develop educational curricula and provide students with skills that keep pace with the requirements of the digital age.
Teaching a new mathematics curriculum for the first grade of primary schools with Japanese quality standards
The new academic year is witnessing the teaching of a new book for mathematics curriculum for the first grade of primary school designed according to Japanese quality standards, after an absence of 8 years for a book specialized in the subject.
Minister Mohamed Abdel -Latif stressed that the new mathematics curriculum book was developed in cooperation with the Japanese side, and will make the children of Egypt in the first grade of primary who are studying what their peers studies in Japan, adding that Japanese thought depends on interest in basic skills, taking into account the individual differences between children, simplifying science and achieving the pleasure of learning.
The evaluation books are available in basic materials for the first time
The new academic year is witnessing the availability of “evaluation books” in the basic subjects of school students, which are presented for the first time this year
The evaluation books include a large number of questions to train students on different lessons, ensuring the student evaluation mechanism regularly.
Paying a new incentive for teachers
A new incentive will be disbursed, which is a monthly teaching incentive of 1,000 pounds for teachers from next November until the end of the school year.
A specialized unit for quality and measurement from the leaders referred to the pension

According to what the Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel -Latif, announced, this unit undertakes to review the quality of schools through periodic visits to schools to assess the level of educational performance and follow up the achievement of students in the classes, to ensure the development of the educational process and the achievement of discipline and quality.
Teaching 94 developed curricula
The Minister of Education and Technical Education announced that the development of curricula was made according to a comprehensive plan that takes into account modern international standards, and aims to build the student’s personality and develop the skills of critical and creative thinking, in addition to upgrading educational achievement, stressing that all intellectual property rights of the curricula are owned by the Egyptian state represented in the Ministry of Education.
