Dubai Roads and Transport Authority revealed that the Dubai Metro Control Center monitors through more than 9,000 smart cameras the movement of trains and stations around the clock, making the network one of the most accurate and safe operating systems in the world and supports the metro position as the longest operating network without a driver globally. Hassan Al -Mutawa, Director of Train Employment Department at the Authority, confirmed that the center located in the Rashidiya area works 24 hours a day and seven days a week and includes about 1,800 employees who are distributed between operating, maintenance, security, emergency management and every 8 hours of shifts, which are honored by 20 employees inside the main control room.
