Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, announced, during the opening of the first session of the Port Said Film Festival, that the next session of the festival, scheduled for next year, will coincide with the opening of the new Port Said Museum inside the Suez Canal Dome building, after the government agreed to convert the building to a museum documenting the city history.

The governor affirmed that the Port Said Fannar building located in the tourist walkway area will also be developed in Palestine Street, which overlooks the Suez Canal, to become an integrated civilizational shrine that reflects the historical and technical value of the place, noting that the plan also includes developing the Port Said Beach and Carnation of the province in a manner befitting its tourist place.

These statements came during the activities of the first session of the Port Said Film Festival, which bears the name of the late artist Mahmoud Yassin, the son of Port Said Governorate, at the Cultural Center in the presence of a large number of art and culture stars, in a festive atmosphere that reflects Port Said’s return to its position as a kiss of art and creativity.
