Dean of Languages ​​and Translation at Al -Azhar University praises Spain’s position in support of the rights of the Palestinian people

Dr. Khaled Abbas, Professor of Spanish Language, Dean of the Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation in Cairo, praised the royal visit made by the Spanish monarch, King Felipe VI and Queen Letithia, to Egypt, stressing that this official visit reflects the durability of bilateral relations between Egypt and Spain.

This came during an official meeting of the Spanish monarch in Cairo, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Spain’s Foreign Minister, the Spanish Ambassador in Cairo, and heads of the Spanish language departments in Egyptian universities.

The Dean of the College of Languages ​​and Translation explained that the royal visit comes in light of a growing strategic partnership between the two countries; Where bilateral relations are witnessing a tangible development in the fields of investment, energy, tourism and education, in addition to cooperation in the immigration and combating terrorism file.

He also pointed out that the visit of the Spanish monarch opens the way to enhance the participation of Spanish companies in green energy and hydrogen projects inside Egypt.

He added that the visit stressed the importance of joint coordination in regional and international issues, especially with regard to achieving security and stability in the Mediterranean region, as well as the firm and supportive Spanish position of the rights of the Palestinian people, and Madrid’s support for a two -state solution as a single way to end the conflict, as well as its decision to prevent arms exporting to Israel, pointing out that Spain was one of the first western countries to condemn the massacres against civilians in Gaza, and refused Attempts to forced displacement of the Palestinians.

It is worth noting that this royal visit reflects Cairo and Madrid’s keenness to document the bridges of cooperation and confirm mutual support, in a way that contributes to the advancement of Egyptian -Spanish relations to broader horizons during the next stage.
