Eng. Hassan Al -Khatib, Minister of Investment, said that we aim to become Egypt among the top 50 countries in the world in trade and investment during the next two years.
Cooperation opportunities between Egypt and Spain
He explained during the Egyptian Spanish Business Council Forum in the presence of the Egyptian Prime Minister and the King of Spain, that Egypt has exceptional resources in the hydrogen sector, while Spain has great skills and experiences, as Egypt cooperates with Spain in the food industries, tourism, digital economy and logistical services.
He stated that these sectors support the establishment of balanced partnerships with Spanish, stressing the existence of opportunities, ideas and will, and then we must turn them into the ground, and that the relations between Egypt and Spain are firm, and extended over the years, and today and with the compatibility of political visions, these relations gain a wide economic dimension and open many areas.
Minister of Investment: 3.1 billion dollars in a trade exchange between Egypt and Spain
Al -Khatib added that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Spain recorded 3.1 billion dollars, and the volume of Spanish investments in the Egyptian market recorded 900 million euros.
And he added: We are targeting during the next 5 years, to double the investments to excel what has been achieved in the previous years, stressing that Egypt has witnessed during the last 10 years, construction in roads, ports, railway, monoel, energy and water so that the Egyptian infrastructure becomes a commercial regional center.
