Emirates University has obtained a new American patent entitled “Metal-Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Battery Cell, recording a qualitative scientific achievement in the field of green batteries and clean energy. This innovation depends on the technique of the metal cell, by converting carbon dioxide into electrical energy and valuable chemical products such as format and hydrocarbons using a cell with a zero flow design. This innovation aims to face the environmental challenges caused by carbon emissions, by creating a battery system capable of achieving high efficiency in transforming energy, with a distinguished performance that exceeds energy density and current in traditional batteries.
