Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said that the first edition of the artificial intelligence strategy was placed in 2019, and it was started from 2019 until 2024.
Minister of Communications: The first artificial intelligence strategy contributed to Egypt 46 global centers
The Minister of Communications added, in televised statements, that the strategy was successfully led to Egypt 46 centers in the global index of the readiness of countries for artificial intelligence.
The Minister of Communications added: In the second half of the year 2024, we are working on developing the second edition of the national strategy for artificial intelligence that was launched at the beginning of this year, and it is being implemented within 5 years, and is based on a group of axes, the most important of which is to provide a large amount of infrastructure and computer resources for government agencies and emerging companies in order to enable them to use artificial intelligence applications.
Dr. Amr Talaat stated that the strategy aims to govern data exchange within the Egyptian state, stressing that the data is the strength of artificial intelligence and its basic resources, and then the data must be available to build artificial intelligence systems without any prejudice to protecting the rights and privacy of their owners.
