Astana- “Al-Khaleej”, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Qasim Gomart Tukayev, received, on the sidelines of the Eighth Religions Dialogue Conference of the leaders of global and traditional religions, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat of the Emirati Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, in an important meeting in Astana. During the meeting, President Tokayev welcomed the guest, expressing his thanks and appreciation for his participation in the eighth conference of the leaders of global and traditional religions. The two parties exchanged views on the spiritual situation in the world, stressing the importance of developing interfaith dialogue to enhance understanding and harmony between different sects. They also stressed the need to make joint efforts to enhance the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence between cultures
