For his part, lawyer Ahmed Al -Adawi, the defense of the referee Mahmoud Al -Banna, said that the competent investigation authorities in Heliopolis referred the case of Ahmed Hossam Mido to the Prosecution of Economic Affairs in accusing him of defaming the ruling Mahmoud Al -Banna, due to the court’s jurisdiction in referring the case to the competent misdemeanor court.

It is noteworthy that the competent investigation authorities, earlier, ordered the release of Ahmed Hossam Mido, on bail of 10,000 pounds in the communication submitted by Mahmoud Al -Banna, accusing him of defamation and abuse on social media.
The communication submitted by the international ruling Mahmoud Al -Banna against Ahmed Hossam Mido No. 4800 of 2025, Egypt, carried the new Egypt, and the communication was referred to the Economic Court.
Al -Adawi said, in a special statement to Cairo 24, that referring the communication to the Qalin District Prosecution is due to the place of residence of international rule, Mahmoud Al -Banna.
Al -Adawi indicated that Mahmoud Al -Banna is keen to obtain his right from the ongoing accusations made by the former Zamalek player through social media, through the law.
