Cairo learned 24 that the past hours witnessed the officials of the Referees Committee received frequent inquiries from a number of referees of the Premier League, regarding the date of disbursing the first batch of their dues for the current season, which includes the 6 rounds that have completed the Premier League championship.
A large segment of the Premier League referees hopes to pay the first batch of their financial dues this week, due to the proximity of the new school year, which begins next Saturday.
Beginning in the current season, the Football Association regained the financial file of the Premier League referees from the Clubs Association, where the federation will take over the process of paying the dues of the Premier League referees and transferring them to their bank accounts, after the Federation collected the amounts established on the clubs in exchange for referees’ dues before the start of the current season.
The Football Association obliged each of the Premier League clubs to pay the amount of 2 million pounds for referees’ dues for the current season, and the clubs deposited this amount in the bank account of the Football Association, so that the latter would take over the process of paying dues to referees throughout the current season.
