Sheikha Hessa bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Deputy Director of the US Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the reception held by Louis El Fonso de Elba Gongura, Ambassador of the Republic of Mexico to the country on the occasion of his country’s national day. The ceremony, which was held at the “Emirates Palace” hotel in Abu Dhabi, was attended by a number of state officials and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the state, and a number of members of the Mexican community residing in the country. In his speech during the ceremony, the ambassador indicated that the occasion is not limited to the celebration of the National Day of Mexico, but also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as well.
