A number of farmers and farmers who rented to the lands of the river launched an urgent distress after the Nile flooded water was completely flooded with their agricultural lands, which caused heavy losses to agricultural crops and the damage of seeds, as well as the immersion of some houses with water, so that some people entered their homes using boats.
Al -Hajj Al -Hajj Ali, one of the farmers affected by the village of Delhamo of the Ashmoun Center, said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: “We know that the Nile is overflowing, but we are forced to risk because we do not have the land that we eat from it and our children, but what happened to us is lost twice; It is final. “
He added, that the farmers have been committed to paying rents in the past years, when the land was generating a good crop, but during the long periods they did not reap any crop due to the domination of the lands of the Nile water frequently, saying: “Each of the Nile is overflowing and taking it.”
The farmers demanded that the lease be removed from them in the years in which the Nile overflows and the lands flooded, stressing that they do not benefit from them in any way, and that the continuation of the current situation threatens their only source of livelihood and weighs their shoulders with debts.
