The Ministry of Health and Population has announced the launch of an expanded campaign to vaccinate some school students in the primary and preparatory stages for the academic year 2025/2026, with a bilateral meningor vaccine (AC) for the prevention of meningitis, and the senior couple (TD) for the prevention of tetanus and diphtheria, within the framework of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Sector plan to maintain the health of students and prevent infectious diseases.
Vacation campaign for some school students
In a letter to the directorates obtained by Cairo 24, the ministry stated that the campaign aims to vaccinate the first and first preparatory students with the bilateral meningitis vaccine (AC), in addition to the vaccination of students of the second and fourth primary grades with the senior couple (TD), as well as the completion of the vaccination of the retarded people last year, provided that the vaccinations are completed before the end of the first semester.
The Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of the commitment of the medical teams implementing the campaign to the instructions contained in the internal bulletins for vaccines, and publishing them on all those in the vaccination process, noting that coordination will be with the directorates of education, educational departments and branches of the health insurance authority in the governorates to ensure access to all targeted students, whether in urban or countryside.
The Ministry of Health stressed that the vaccination process will take place under the direct supervision of the directors of all the preventive affairs in the directorates, with the dispatch of exchange representatives to dispense the shares of the vaccines to ensure that they are provided in appropriate quantities during the campaign period.
The Ministry affirmed that these efforts come within the framework of the state’s keenness to promote public health and prevent diseases, and to ensure a safe and healthy academic year for all students.
