At least 21 people were injured, including three in critical condition, as a result of a violent explosion that led to a partial collapse in a residential building in the Spanish capital Madrid, according to the local authorities.
Reuters reported that the explosion occurred around three in the afternoon inside a bar in the southern part of the city, which resulted in major material damage and the outbreak of panic in the vicinity of the accident.

Immediately after the explosion, the firefighting teams and ambulance teams rushed to the scene, along with members of the local and national police, as the rescue work began and removed the rubble from the damaged building.
The authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the causes of the explosion, while investigations continue to determine its circumstances and the authority responsible for it, if any.
