Tesla, which is run by billionaire Elon Musk, was accused, in a lawsuit on Friday, of preferring visa holders over Americans when taking employment decisions, allowing them to pay fewer salaries.
A lawsuit against Tesla to be employed by visa holders instead of Americans
According to a proposed collective lawsuit filed in the San Francisco Court, Tasla violates the Federal Civil Rights Law through its systematic preference for employing visa holders, and its separation to American citizens at impatient rates compared to visa holders.
The complaint stated that Tesla relies on H-1B visas holders, and opens a new door for skilled workers, including in 2024 when she was employed by 1,355 visas pregnant women while more than 6000 workers were exposed locally, and the vast majority of them are American citizens.
