Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met in Washington, with JD Vans, Vice President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and Marco Rubio, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America and the ways of supporting and developing it, and discussing the developments of the situation in the region, were discussed, according to the State Department’s statement.
During the meeting, the US Vice President affirmed his solidarity with the State of Qatar, noting that diplomatic solutions are able to solve the outstanding issues in the region, and expressed his appreciation for the relevant efforts made by the State of Qatar in mediation and its active role in bringing peace to the region.
Qatar is a reliable strategic ally of the United States
The US Vice President stressed that the State of Qatar is a reliable strategic ally of the United States of America.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the State of Qatar will take all measures to protect its security and maintain its sovereignty towards the blatant Israeli attack.
The State of Qatar appreciated its close partnership with the United States of America and its support for Qatar’s sovereignty and endeavors to achieve peace in the region.
