The source, who asked not to be named, said to Cairo 24: The deficit focused on the medical supplies store and dialysis requirements subject to the supervision of the administrative deputy, noting that an internal investigation will be opened to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health stressed its full commitment to the decision of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to provide treatment for emergency cases in all government and private hospitals without the patients ’download any financial costs for 48 hours or even the end of the emergency health situation, in order to preserve the lives and safety of citizens.

The minister pointed out that the medical service was eventually provided to the patient without fees, but he issued an urgent decision to transfer the director of the hospital and the head of the emergency department to the immediate investigation, with the directive to impose severe penalties against everyone who proves his failure, which may reach the suspension of work or referral to the judicial authorities if negligence or violation of ministerial decisions is proven.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed that the ministry will not tolerate any violations related to emergency services, stressing that “the life of patients is a top priority, and any violation of citizens’ right to urgent treatment will face firm and deterrent measures.”
