The Kingdom of Bahrain’s obtaining one of the five seats dedicated to the group of Asian and the Pacific countries in the United Nations Executive Council after the election of the United Nations Economic and Social Council is an achievement that reflects the pioneering position that has reached it in the ranks of global countries with leading experiences in various issues of women’s support, and the continuity of international recognition of the tireless and leading Bahraini efforts in empowering women and enhancing their position at the regional and global levels where these are considered to be The second time that Bahrain won the membership of the Executive Council of the United Nations Women after its previous membership during the period (2017-2019).
During its membership period, the Kingdom of Bahrain will work to support the efforts of the United Nations Women’s Authority and active contribution to the formulation of global policies and strategies in the field of empowering women, developing and building their capabilities and enhancing their contributions to building societies and achieving the goals of sustainable development, and enhancing the levels of empowerment in the fields of technology and modern science and supporting their progress in various work sites, in line with the established approach of the Kingdom of Bahrain towards establishing the principles of equality Equal opportunities.
