The Emiri Diwan announced that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, received a phone call from US President Donald Trump in the wake of the Israeli strike that targeted the Hamas headquarters in Doha today, Tuesday.
The Diwan stated through the “X” platform that Sheikh Tamim informed Trump in the phone call that the State of Qatar will take all measures to protect its security and maintain its sovereignty.
In turn, Trump confirmed his solidarity with Qatar and his strong condemnation of attacking its sovereignty, pointing out that “diplomatic solutions are enough to resolve the outstanding issues in the region.”
He stressed that the State of Qatar is a reliable strategic ally of the United States, calling on the Emir of Qatar to continue Qatar’s mediation efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
The Emir of Qatar demanded “the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards these rogue behaviors and hold those involved in their commission, expressing his hope that the United States will support this fair trend.”
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the statements that are being taken about Qatar’s informing of Qatar’s Israeli attack on its “naked” soil.
This came a short time after a statement to the White House, quoting US President Donald Trump, in which he said that he directed the envoy Steve Wittouf to warn the Qataris in advance about the intention of the Israelis launching a strike on their lands.
Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman, Majed Al -Ansari, said, “The communication received by one of the American officials came during the sound of the sound of the explosions resulting from the Israeli attack in Doha,” said Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al Ansari.
