The Israeli Jerusalem Post revealed, quoting well -informed sources, that the mini -ministerial council learned of the Israeli attack on Qatar through the media, without there being a prior knowledge or a unified position among the heads of the security services in this regard.

According to the sources, the Shin Bet Security Agency supported the implementation of the operation, while other parties within the security system expressed caution and frequency about its timing.
The newspaper pointed out that the head of the Mossad apparatus did not oppose the process in principle, but he refused its timing, considering that the proceeding of it while negotiations with Hamas is still ongoing unacceptable.
The Jerusalem Post added that the Mossad chief stressed the impossibility of liquidating Hamas leaders in conjunction with the continuation of the negotiating channels, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused this position, and insisted on moving forward in the process immediately.
