Al -Watan newspaper received the beneficiaries of the Bahrain product project for productive families, which are under the umbrella of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, and highlighted their efforts and achievements in supporting families and promoting societal empowerment.
A group breakfast was organized at the newspaper’s headquarters, where the breakfast was prepared in the hands of graduates and trainers of a product project, with the aim of supporting families and motivating them to continue their projects and achieving sustainability and stability for their families.
The Acting Head of Charitable and Humanitarian Programs Department, Maryam Al -Barjas, said that the Nation of Khair Bahrain Center opened in 2022 as a development project affiliated with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, and aims to societal empowerment of orphans and widows, and explained that the center provides many services and is divided into several sections: a product kitchen, a product training, and a product of product.
She added, “The Citizen Kitchen” includes specialized courses in food security and safety throughout the year, while training orphans and widows interested in cooking arts, the courses extend for two months inside and outside Bahrain, and the trainees get three certificates, including food and safety of food, and that since the start of the program, eight batches have been trained, confirming that many of the participants have started their own projects after passing the course.
She explained that “Training of a product” includes sewing, embroidery, crochet, and makeup arts under the supervision of experts, with the aim of refining the skills of posts and preparing them to enter the labor market and achieving financial independence.
And Beit that after the end of the training courses, the distinguished posts are chosen in a “product letter” to develop their projects, as the production team designs complete products with Bahraini hands commensurate with the local market. These products are displayed in exhibitions and on social media platforms, and the return on the entire sale is due to the creators themselves.
Laila El -Sayed Habib, one of the participants three years ago, said that she started as a trainee and obtained a certificate in preserving and safety, and then she became one of the coaches in the program. She added that she joined several courses being a fan of cooking, and she was attached to a product project, especially after her participation in the fasting breakfast, considering that the project has become an outlet for her.
Laila confirmed her love for the Gulf cuisine in all its details, and that the “product” helped her to introduce herself, and she also had a special page on social media platforms for her project. Orphans and widows called for joining the product, explaining that it opens a lot of doors, refines talents and develops different skills.
The share of Khamis Saad Al -Dossary joined in 2022 after graduating from the University of Bahrain in the field of rights, and began working within the production team, as it was responsible for the production of food for universities and schools.
After the course ended, she opened her own project, and she is now on the market three years ago, and her products are distributed over six incubators.
Hessa Al -Dossary said that her love for cooking was her first motivation, and after graduation she did not have an opportunity to work and stayed at home for a whole year, then decided to rely on herself after the death of her father and help her mother.
She explained that her start was with the croissants, and later noticed people’s desire for natural yeast, so she entered it in the production of baked goods, and added rural bread and croissants to fulfill people’s desires and increased demand for healthy foods.
She added that she loved the bakery specialization after her experience in the program, and she created products that combine croissants and popular Bahraini flavors such as dumplings, hashtags, sweets and Crosson Tika, until she had its own name in the market.
Iman Ahmed, a widow and a mother of three children, joined the “product” in 2023 after seeing the announcement of the program, and entered the cooking cycle, and she is a graduate of the fifth batch of “product”.
She said that she was distinguished in the work of chocolate, and after the end of the course, she opened her first chocolate project, but after the high cost of production, she turned into the preparation of Iranian food, as she is an expert in it, and she found a great demand for her products such as Al -Mahahi, alcohol and flash, and added that she became trained for Iranian food, and that the most requests she receives are on the wary of the stuffed Khmer “Alo Jabs” and Khumrir “Zaatar cheese”, Always choose her choice of the finest types.
The “product” project represents a real platform for orphans and widows to develop their skills and achieve economic independence, as the project reflects the values of societal solidarity and cooperation in order to enable the vulnerable groups, and provides an integrated educational and productive environment that guarantees the sustainability of the projects of productive families.
