In an organizational and wise step, the Supreme Council for Environment issued Resolution No. (4) of 2025, which obliges all Bahraini fishermen to obtain a license to practice commercial fishing from August 28, 2025. This decision comes in an ideal time and reflects the keenness of the concerned authorities to organize the sector and ensure the sustainability of marine resources for future generations.
We thank the decision -makers for adopting this approach, as it reflects a clear strategic vision aimed at protecting fish wealth and promoting national food security. The decision allows the clear organizational sector by setting accurate conditions that grant the license to Bahraini youth who meet the standards, and determines the validity of the license and the nature of the work in a way that protects the profession and preserves the rights of fishermen.
