On the occasion of the International Day of Police Cooperation, His Excellency the first team, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, expressed the deep commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen international security partnerships, and made it a central part of its strategy in the face of organized crime and terrorism.
This trend confirms a firm conviction in the Kingdom that security is no longer an isolated local issue, but rather it requires effective international cooperation and coordination of an end between countries. What distinguishes the Bahraini experience in this field is its constant keenness to work with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) according to the highest professional standards, while adhering to its basic principles, on top of which is neutral, transparency, and avoiding any interventions A political or military character.
This harmony between Bahraini national policies and Interpol principles has strengthened the Kingdom’s credibility as a reliable partner on the international security scene, and contributed to strengthening cooperation relations with police services around the world. This cooperation was evident in exchanging accurate and immediate information, and relying on the advanced Interpol databases, as well as respecting international legal procedures related to delivery and recovery.
Our country has proven the effectiveness of this approach through its success in arresting and handing over international wanted persons, and participating in joint operations to combat drug smuggling, money laundering, and terrorist financing, which reflects its serious commitment to active participation in protecting global security.
In light of the security challenges, especially with regard to the threat of terrorism, Bahrain has adopted a long -term strategic approach that is not limited to the immediate response, but rather from its moral and international duty in the face of this scourge. This includes strengthening the exchange of intelligence, implementing joint operations, and developing coordination channels with friendly countries, with the aim of eradicating the roots of terrorism and tracking those involved in it wherever they are.
The Kingdom of Bahrain also links international security cooperation with the achievement of the goals of the sustainable development of the United Nations, as it sees in enhancing security and stability a basic pillar of economic and social development. Struggle for crime and terrorism is not only a goal, but a way to ensure a safe environment that allows societies to advance and prosper.
Our dear country today provides a sophisticated model to interact with the global security system, especially through its fruitful cooperation with Interpol, which reflects the vision of its leadership in supporting international peace and security and strengthening its position as an active and responsible partner on the global scene, and in a manner that guarantees its security, stability and the comfort of its citizens and residents.
