The Ministry of Interior emphasized that within the framework of the continuous efforts to confront the violations related to the fishing and the tools used in it, and ensuring the commitment of sailors and fishermen to laws and regulations, the Coast Guard Command was able to seize a boat with 4 Asian people on board and they have a quantity of shrimp that was caught by the “Carav” parking window that is forbidden to use, based on Ministerial Resolution No. 205 of 2018, concerned with preventing fishing Sea by the “Carav” parking window.
The Coast Guard Command indicated that the seized boat included several other violations represented in covering the boat registration boards, the lack of AIS AIS, safety tools and legal documents related to the boat and sailors, in addition to practicing fishing without a license and sailing in the marine survey area without taking care and caution, noting that the necessary legal measures are being taken, in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
The Coast Guard Command called on all sea visitors to adhere to the decisions regarding the prohibition of fishing and the illegal tools used, in order to preserve the fish wealth and the marine environment.
