In the end

My relationship with Egypt is not like any relationship, as it exceeds the limits of a crossing visit to touch the depths of the soul, and settles in memory. From the softness of my nails, my father – may God have mercy on him – was constantly taking us to Egypt, until I became part of my childhood, and the Nile became a witness to innocent moments that painted the features of my first life.

With the passage of years, that relationship did not fade, but rather a firmness, until Egypt became a second homeland that lived in me as much as I lived. In it I completed my higher studies, and from it I gained experiences and knowledge that formed the course of my life, and in it I also made sincere friendships that the days do not erase. Egypt is not just a country, but an extended story between the past and the present, a story of love, loyalty and countless memories. Whenever I passed through her streets, or contemplated her, I felt that I was returning to myself, as if her threads woven something of my soul, which is inseparable from her and is not absent.
