BID has reduced its sales goal for this year by up to 16% to 4.6 million cars, according to two people familiar with the matter, as the giant Chinese electric car company faces the slower annual growth in five years and other signs that the era of standard expansion may approach its end.

The largest automotive company in China informed analysts in March that it targeted 5.5 million cars sales for 2025. But internally, the number has been reduced several times in recent months, according to the sources.
The latest number of at least 4.6 million cars was reported inside the company and the selection of suppliers last month to help direct planning.
BYD shares circulated on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which decreased by 1.4% before the Reuters report, continued their losses, and decreased by 3.1% in the afternoon.
