The University of Bahrain has announced the completion of its preparations to receive the new academic year 2025/2026, after a series of integrated preparations that included the development of facilities, the renewal of buildings, and the promotion of technical and security readiness.

These efforts come within the university’s strategy aimed at continuing to promote academic excellence, developing campus, and upgrading technologies and services provided to students and members of the academic and administrative bodies, ensuring the provision of a stimulating educational environment.

In this context, Dr. Fouad Mohamed Al -Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, stressed that the University of Bahrain is constantly working to create an advanced academic environment that places the student at the heart of the educational process, and supports him with tools and knowledge that qualifies him for scientific and vocational excellence.

Preparations included maintenance and renewal of 28 buildings and 14 student breaks, in addition to developing green spaces with an area of ​​9,000 square meters and cultivating 430 new trees, to provide a comfortable university environment. The capacity of parking lots, sidewalk maintenance has also been increased, and indicative signals were placed in various locations to ensure the ease of movement within the university.

Dr. Al -Ansari explained that the relevant authorities at the university have opened new restaurants on the campus to meet the needs of students, stressing the university’s keenness to continue providing integrated services that support the experience of university students in all its aspects.

With regard to the new students, Dr. Al -Ansari that the university developed its introductory program, as an integrated transitional stage for preparing students, and acquiring basic competencies of university learning, while ensuring a smooth and effective transition for their academic career. According to the program, the student is classified according to the results of the level determination exam to: Pre-Intermediate level or intermedition level, with the ability to provide the exemption exam to distinguished students. The program consists of 16 credit hours, including 12 hours for English language declarations and 4 hours for the course of personal skills.

The President of the University of Bahrain stressed that the university is continuing to update its academic programs and launching new specializations to keep pace with the needs of the labor market. Two new programs were launched in the postgraduate stage, bringing the total postgraduate programs to 54 programs, while the first university stage includes 47 programs, several of which were undergoing comprehensive development, and the majority of them were accommodated on the national qualifications framework to ensure the quality of educational outcomes and achieve unified national standards, and one new program was created in the bachelor’s degree.

And new graduate programs are: Master of Science in Applied AI in the College of Information Technology, and its philosophy in counseling psychology in the College of Arts, and Bachelor of Science in Complementary Public Health in the College of Health Sciences.

The university also launched the student information system developed to facilitate the experience of students and faculty members, and continued to develop the “UOB App” phone application, which enables students to see the academic schedules and lecture sites, register attendance, reveal grades, and benefit from many services that support their daily academic career.

The university has also finished developing its wireless network using the latest Wi-Fi 6e technology to ensure the speed and reliability of communication in all university facilities, reflecting its commitment to digital innovation within its comprehensive strategy.

The university continues to implement its future projects, most notably the establishment of an advanced clinical simulation laboratory in the College of Health and Sports Sciences, depends on simulation techniques on the latest medical dolls to enhance practical training in the field of nursing, and is scheduled to open at the end of 2025.

The university receives its new students through the annual preparation program, which includes introductory meetings and interactive events to facilitate their integration into university life and give them a comprehensive overview of the university environment and its academic and social requirements.

The University of Bahrain confirms its comprehensive readiness for the academic year 2025/2026, in continuation of its national role in providing a distinguished high education, preparing competencies capable of innovation and effective contribution to community service, continuing to work according to its comprehensive strategy to enhance academic excellence, developing the university environment, and upgrading technologies and services provided to students and members of the academic and administrative body at the University of Bahrain.
