Eng. Sheikh Mishaal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, confirmed the completion of the implementation of the Al -Fateh Street expansion project at its intersection with Sheikh Isa bin Salman Street (the intersection of Salman Port) in the eastern and western directions.

This came during his inspection visit to Al -Fateh Street at its intersection with Sheikh Isa bin Salman Street (the intersection of Salman Port), in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Sami Al -Tajer, Assistant Undersecretary of Roads at the Ministry of Works, and a number of specialized engineers.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works indicated that the project works included the expansion near the Al -Ghuraifa area of traffic heading north to Manama, in addition to the expansion near the Umm Al -Hosam area of traffic heading south towards Sheikh Isa bin Salman Street.

He explained that the project included the addition of a new path in each direction from Al -Fateh Street, in the part of its intersection with Sheikh Issa bin Salman Street (the intersection of Salman Port) in the south, until before its intersection with Al -Jafir Street (the intersection of the wardle), so that the number of tracks in the northern direction (adjacent to the Al -Ghuraifa region) becomes three tracks, while its number increased to four tracks in the southern direction (adjacent to the Umm Al -Hasam area).

He added that the project also included the implementation of the transportation and protection of ground services, in addition to installing the indicative panels and traffic signs necessary to ensure the safety of road users, stressing that this expansion contributes to enhancing the flow of traffic and raising the levels of road safety.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works pointed out that this part of Al -Fateh Street is an extension of the development work that has been completed and opened in front of the previous traffic, which included the street from the Sheikh Hamad Bridge in the north until its intersection with Al -Jafir Street (Al -Walabab intersection) in the south, with a length of more than 3 kilometers.
