The Meteorological Authority announced the continuation of the slight rise in temperatures in most parts of the Republic during the period from Sunday, August 31 to Friday, September 5, 2025, in a very hot summer atmosphere during the day and wet at night.
Meteorology: Heat weather until the end of the week and temperatures up to 42
In its statement, the authority stated that the temperatures will range from the northern coasts between 32 – 33 degrees Celsius, while Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt records higher rates of up to 36 – 37 degrees, and the temperature is intensified on the south of the country to record between 38 – 42 degrees, which reflects the continuation of the hot wave.
The statement added that the weather will be very hot on most regions during the day, and moisturizing on the northern coasts, while it tends to heat and humidity at night and in the early morning, pointing out that high humidity rates will increase the temperature sensation at a rate ranging from two degrees and four degrees, which makes Greater Cairo for example a significant temperature of up to 42 degrees Celsius.
The authority also expected the continued opportunities of the heavy water grass in the early morning, especially on some agricultural and rapid roads near the water bodies and leading to and from the northern regions of the country to Greater Cairo, North Upper Egypt and Central Sinai, which requires caution while driving.
Meteorology emphasized that the wind activity in some areas from the north of the country to the north of Upper Egypt and the Sinai will contribute to reducing the feeling of high temperatures at night, but it will not significantly affect the very heat atmosphere during the daytime hours.
The authority advised the citizens to avoid direct exposure to sunlight for long periods, while wearing light cotton clothes, and drinking a lot of water and cold fluids to maintain the moisture of the body, noting that the hot wave will continue until the end of this week.
