The New Urban Communities Authority decided to collect fees for the improvement of lands located on both sides of the Cairo -Alexandria Desert Road, depth of a kilometer for the sector that extends from the shooting field to the intersection of Dahshur link, including the Green Revolution Land Triangle to be converted into urban activity.

According to a publication obtained by Cairo 24, the decision came within the framework of the implementation of the presidential directives issued on June 19, 2025 regarding the collection of improving the urban lands located on both sides of the Cairo -Alexandria Desert Road, as a result of the comprehensive development work that took place on the road.
The Urban Communities Authority adopted the method of payment for improvement, by paying the land ownership of the land 20% of the total value of the improvement fees when issuing licenses and 80% is paid over 5 years with equal annual installments at a 10% interest.
The application of the decision comes in light of the presidential directives to achieve the maximum benefit from the development work, while adhering to the approved map, rules and procedures in force.
It is worth noting that the Sheikh Zayed City Development Authority implements the facilities projects with the expansion of Sheikh Zayed City or what is called the Green Revolution Zone, according to Republican Decree 77 of 2017 with an area of approximately 8,500 acres, parallel to the Cairo/ Alexandria Desert Road, where the general plan for land uses in the region aims to include various activities with the aim of providing many investment opportunities in it, and turning the region into an integrated urban society matching the city Sheikh Zayed List.
