Al -Ain: “The Gulf” has achieved a multidisciplinary research team from the Faculty of Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University, a leading scientific achievement represented in obtaining an American patent for innovative technology that turns recycled carbon waste to an effective substance capable of treating water resulting from desalination, and at the same time capturing carbon dioxide emissions. This innovation represents a practical step towards achieving the vision of the UAE in the areas of sustainability, as its impact is not limited to addressing urgent environmental challenges, but also demonstrates the ability of local scientific research to cause a real shift in dealing with industrial waste and carbon emissions.
