Youssef Abu Kwik, Cairo News reporter from Gaza, revealed the emergence of a new virus in Gaza City and a number of other governorates, which increases the burden on the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which operates among a collapsed health system and a deteriorating human environment.
Abu Kwik added, during an intervention through the Cairo News Channel, that, according to the Ministry of Health, the new virus causes high temperatures and a state of general wasting among patients, amid a clear deficit in the ability to receive the increasing number of patients, in light of a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, and the weak technical and medical capabilities available.

Abu Kwik pointed out that the new virus causes high temperatures and a state of general wasting in patients, which threatens a real health disaster in the absence of a safe and sterile environment, and this comes at a time when the sector is witnessing a spread of multiple epidemics due to water pollution and the absence of basic hygiene tools.
The correspondent pointed out that the residents of the Gaza Strip, especially the displaced, live in tents using firewood and wood for cooking and heating, after gas supplies were cut off more than 5 months ago, and that the Israeli occupation prevents the entry of basic materials such as soap, which exacerbated the spread of diseases due to the absence of personal hygiene, in light of the lack of pure water.
