“I am talented” program continues its visits to training centers to discover and refine talents

In the context of his keenness to follow up on the progress of work and implement its development programs, the “I am a talented” program, which is organized and supervised by the Committee of Equal Opportunities and Balancing Gender in the sports field of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, continued its field visits to a number of sports training centers, with the aim of identifying the available capabilities and identifying the training programs provided to young and talented in various games.

The program’s delegation, headed by Salama Mohamed Ateeq, director of the Ihoub project, made a tour that included a number of centers that embrace promising talents, where he was briefed on the progress of the training and mechanisms adopted in preparing the players, in addition to identifying the most important challenges facing coaches and administrators.

During the visit, the program’s delegation affirmed that these tours come within an integrated plan aimed at enhancing communication with the sports field and building bridges of cooperation with clubs, federations and specialized centers, in a way that contributes to caring for national talents and providing an ideal environment that helps them to develop and excellence.

Centers officials also praised this qualitative initiative, considering that the “I am a talented” program represents a valuable opportunity to support the efforts made in the field of talent discovery and expand the base of practitioners for various sports.

The centers officials also praised the continuity of implementing the ambitious project for its third version by increasing another sports games to build a base from practitioners in it to achieve the principle of gender balance in all games and work to include federations and clubs for them and continue to form and support national teams in the future.

The program is scheduled to continue its visits during the coming period to include all centers, in confirmation of its commitment to adopting a comprehensive vision in the field of capacity development and the champions industry in line with the Kingdom’s strategy in developing sports and upgrading achievements at the regional and international levels.
