Dr. Osama Abonar, head of the VS-Film Festival, explained that the festival has been keen since its inception to honor the pioneers of critics and creators in appreciation of their busy career and their cinematic critical creativity that contributed to the development of the film industry in all its forms and colors long and short.
He pointed out that the festival celebration of critics and the monetary movement came with the launch of its first Drota with the launch of a competition for the article and cash study with the aim of giving opportunities for the emergence of new generations of critics and scholars and at the same time contributing to the consolidation of the very short filmmaking industry.
The journalist Ziad Bassem, the festival’s executive director, revealed that the festival celebration of critics does not depend only on the competition, but extends to all the activities of the festival, as the festival’s watching committee includes a group of critics and scholars responsible for choosing different competition films.
