Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of the great king of the country, head of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, headed the Fifth Council meeting in his eighth session (2022-2025), at his headquarters in Al -Rafaa.
Her Highness started the meeting by welcoming the attendees, and her Highness expressed sincere congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women, and the pride and evidence of this anniversary of the efforts of the Council’s sincere members, ahead of her sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, the country, may God protect and preserve him for the permanent and tangible support for the work of the council, She noted that the unlimited royal support was the first supporter of the council’s march, which enabled him to continue to launch programs, projects and initiatives that raise the status of Bahraini women and their generosity, capabilities, determination and ambition for the renaissance and development of their homeland.
Her Highness also expressed great appreciation to congratulate the distinguished cabinet headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, in its last meeting held on Monday on the occasion of the twenty -fourth anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Council for Women, and for all those who congratulated this occasion from His Highness, Excellency and Excellency and the general people of Bahrain, which confirms the seriousness of the institutional work that the Supreme Council for Women has been made Bahraini women have an impact on all sectors and national action fields.
Her Highness praised the efforts and efforts of the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, continuous support and fruitful cooperation with various ministries and government institutions to activate the plans and work of the Supreme Women’s Council in line with the priorities of government work and is significantly reflected on the size of Bahraini women’s participation effectively in the national economy and the quality of the services provided to them, expressing their highness on its aspirations that the Council continue its serious career In implementing its goals and specializations, and contributing to achieving the aspiration of Bahraini women in cooperation and partnership with all official authorities, private sector institutions and civil society concerned, in a manner that ensures the sustainability of their stability and enhancing the principle of equal opportunities and balance between the gender.
During the meeting, Her Highness, may God protect her, announced the celebration on the occasion of the Bahraini Women’s Day for the year 2025, which is held under the slogan “Bahraini women .. Excellence-Creativity-Innovation”, which aims to celebrate the distinction and innovation achieved by Bahraini women in various development fields through the awards she won at the regional and international levels, and appreciate the creations of Bahraini women in the areas of their qualitative work in various sectors, and document what they achieved from Achievement at various levels, highlighting its success stories and its impact on the comprehensive national development process.
Her Highness, may God protect her, confirmed that the start of the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women (2025-2026) under the slogan “Bahraini women from empowerment, progress and pursuit of leadership” is the main driver of the Supreme Council for Women during this stage to continue achieving its goals effectively and efficiently within the specializations assigned to it and that the royal order for its establishment, which enhances the momentum of the national efforts made to highlight the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s wealth and advanced Upper Egypt and implement the policies supporting to achieve the goals of the national strategy for the advancement of Bahraini women and the national model of gender balance.
Her Highness extended his sincere thanks to the members of the Supreme Council for Women for their permanent cooperation with the General Secretariat in the various steps taken by the council, expressing her highness for wishes for all success and payment.
The Council listened to a summary provided by His Excellency Professor Lulwa Al -Awadi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council for Women, focusing on the executive steps taken by the General Secretariat of the Council to follow up the implementation of the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women (2025 – 2026), and the Council also informed what the General Secretariat has done regarding the participation of the council members in the qualitative committees, and the report of the General Secretariat on cooperation with a number of international bodies through the signing and renewal of a number of memoranda of understanding It will contribute to the continued progress of Bahraini women and enhance their position internationally.
The Supreme Council for Women also approved the organizational measures taken by the General Secretariat regarding the equal opportunities committees in government agencies, and surrounded the procedures for the establishment of the Women’s Committee in the sports field.
The agenda of the meeting included a number of items and reports that the Supreme Council for Women has been informed in knowledge of the procedures and follow -up by the General Secretariat during the last period.
